The Process of Recycling Electrical Gadgets



1. Switch off lights that are visible from the beach 
2. Reduce the amount of garbage you produce & clean up trash you see on the Beach.
3. Be Aware of sea turtle nesting areas and avoid nesting and hatching turtles.


But as students* living in urban areas, and now fortunately we are still able to play our part, which is by donating our unwanted electronic devices such as old phones, laptops and tablets. Therefore, this campaign created an easier way in order to participant in conserving turtle.


4. Recycling your unwanted/spoilt electronic devices, each PHONE / LAPTOP/ TABLETS donated will same as donating 1USD to WWF MALAYSIA as fund to support turtle conservation project.

Won’t you wondering how Ring a life campaign, connecting lives & transforming live? The main themes of our campaign, is with every of these devices collected, Microsoft will pledged to donate 1USD to WWF Malaysia as fund to support turtle conserving project, at the meanwhile make connecting to conserving. Fortunately, we got the chances to participant in conserving turtle project even we are not living near the beach. Every device we collected are not actually B/Ringing a turtle life, but it also playing a part on saving the green earth, How it works? Here is it:

The material in your phone can be used to create many new products. By 100% of the materials in your old phones will be recovering for generating energy, making new things.  Not only phone but also most of the electronic gadgets, the materials insides can be recovered and used to make new products or generate energy.


Ring a Life Campaign make it even in an easier way, how is the process?

Step 1: Just drop off any your unwanted old mobile phone, laptop or tablets to Microsoft Recycle bin.

Step 2: Batteries are removed to be recycled separately

Step 3: Metals and plastic are taken out from the phone to make useful thing, so no extra mining needed = Saving the green earth.

Step 4: Every device collected, Microsoft will donate 1 USD to WWF as funds to support turtles conservation project.
